Q. What is STAR DAYS?
A. STAR DAYS is the STAR Touring and Riding International Event. During this event we get together to RIDE, see old acquaintances and make new friends, but most of all to have FUN. The Yamaha Star Line of motorcycles is featured at STAR DAYS. Most of the vendors at STAR DAYS make products for Star motorcycles. Here is your opportunity to customize you favorite scooter. This event continues to grow. It is located in different areas each year, around the country, the rotation being central, west, and east. STAR DAYS is the largest Star Motorcycle/ metric motorcycle event in North America.

Q. Why do I need to register?
A. By registering for the event you are assured an event t shirt, ride pin, patch, Banquet and entry to all events, excluding the custom bike show and the vendor BBQ on Friday.

Q. Do I have to register for STAR DAYS to enter the Custom Bike show?
A. No, the bike show fees are separate you can enter the show without purchasing a packet for the event, but the entry fees may be higher.

Q. Can I buy a packet, ride pin, patch or event shirt at the event?
A. Shirts, patches, and ride pins for the packets are pre ordered; we cannot predict sales at the event. So extra t shirts, patches and ride pins are very limited at the event, first come first serve.

Q. Should I reserve a room now for the event?
A. No, you can reserve a room when you register for an event packet. We get group rates on rooms and you may not be able to get better rates on your own.

Q. Do I have to be a STAR Touring member to attend?
A. No, the event is open to all riders.

Q. I need to cancel my registration, or I have not registered as yet, what are the dates?
A. Last date to cancel or register for the event is June 20, 2010. No cancellations are accepted after that date.

Q. I had to cancel coming to STAR DAYS; I cancelled my registration what about the room reservation?
A. You must contact the Hotel directly; the phone number is on the confirmation from the Hotel.

Q. I was unable to attend the event, but bought a packet, now what?
A. Contact the International office before the event to cancel and we will arrange to send your packet materials in the mail. If you contact us after the event, we will need to charge a small fee for shipping.

Q. I cancelled my packet before the cutoff date and was charged a $10.00 cancellation fee. Why?
A. STAR is charged banking fees to run credit cards, both ways. Writing and returning a check and cancelling a packet from the data base is labor intensive with a limited staff.

Q. I registered after June 2, 2010 and was charged a $10.00 late fee. Why?
A. After online registration is finished we have to order event shirts, patches, pins, wristbands, the list goes on. Adding in registrations is done manually, and frequently will overrun the pin, patch, or event shirt order. This causes additional orders which brings the price higher and burdens the staff in the late hours of planning the event.

Q. I registered online and noticed a SWAMPAZZ t-shirt for sale as an additional item; do I have to buy the shirt to go on the ride?
A. No, the shirt is an extra; you do not have to go on the ride to purchase a shirt. You do not have to buy a shirt to go on the ride. The SWAMPAZZ ride is part of the event just register for the event to go on the ride.

Q. I don't have a credit card; can I still register for the event?
A. Yes, just fill out the online form, print two copies, SUBMIT the application and mail one copy of the application with your check to the address on the form. Please be sure to submit the form so your registration will be recorded immediately, in case the check gets lost in the mail.

Q. How do I know my registration went thru?
A. You will be sent an e mail to the address you input during the registration process. Be sure to input your e mail correctly or you will not get a confirmation. Be sure to check your SPAM filter!

Q. I do not want to register for the event but want to reserve a room, how can I do this?
A. You cannot, the room blocks are for the participants of the event.

Q. I want to register for STAR DAYS but plan on camping, staying with friends, or have made other lodging arrangements, can I do this?
A. Yes, after submitting your registration just close the browser.

Q. Why are there not more vendors at STAR DAYS?
A. STAR DAYS is a smaller event, we do not attract 50,000 plus people like larger rallies. The vendors are in business and need to make sales to stay in business. We try to have a good range of products so all the vendors can make sales. Each year STAR sends out more than 100 invitations to quality vendors to attend our event. If you know of a good quality traveling vendor that you would recommend and do business with please refer them to the International office.

Q. I cannot attend all four days of STAR DAYS but can come in for one or two, can I do this?
A. Yes, you can buy a day pass at the event. The meal counts are already submitted so extra tickets for the meals are not always available.

Q. Why is STAR DAYS held in the middle of the week?
A. Members come from all over the world, Canada, and the USA to attend this event. This gives them time to travel to the event and travel home to minimize time off of work.

ACA Conference -- Chicago, IL

Annual Conventions/Exhibitions

As thousands of people stream past exhibit booths at ACA's annual summer Congress of Correction and the Winter Conference, you do not want your company to be left out. These two annual events are the only international conventions that attract corrections officials from the county, state and federal levels, as well as from probation and parole and community corrections agencies. As an exhibitor your products and services will be seen by thousands of corrections professionals during the summer Congress and Winter Conference. These professionals use ACA's Exhibit Hall as a marketplace to satisfy all of their agency's or institution's needs. In addition, exhibitors are provided the opportunity to meet and interact with attendees, many of whom are key correctional decision makers.
